Like every other quarter of the year I am trying myself at writing!
I'll attempt to finish a NaNoWriMo novel this year and instead of deciding to do it the last minute like last year, I'll try to plan out more ahead. I've already got a loose idea but I won't dive into it here just yet because there are far too many undetermined factors for it at the moment.
At it's current state it'll be a fantasy novel featuring angels and reapers. Let's see how I'll mess that up in November!
I think I'll call it a win in any case if I can beat my word count of last year: 14,027 words

Enough about the Nano at this juncture! I'm currently working on my very first tumblr-rpg character. It's going rather slowly because I'm really worried that my character will not be accepted or that it'll be too boring.
The roleplay is featured in the world Nikita is set in and the characters will be recruits or handlers inside Division. If you want to read through what I have so far feel free to click the cut. If you do so, I'd love to hear if you find it complete rubbish or if you could point out some errors.

Scrivener is helping my process.
I've been totally sucked into the planning of my story and I discovered this amazing software called "Scrivener". There's a special NaNoWriMo trial that only runs out some time in December and it's made of purely awesome!
I managed to put a rough outline together and also to become clearer about the story as a whole. I never had a story that had a clear ending.
Also reading through the various threads in the forum made me be very inspired and brought up new ideas. I'm basically on fire!

Hello, I'm a plot hole. Don't try to fix me because it won't work
Still there are just too many plot holes in my story which annoys me a lot.
The biggest hole is that it seems very untypical for assassins to work in teams. At least that's how I see it.
Also struggling to tie some of the actions together. One of the Main Characters just feels like some extra right now and their actions aren't tied that much to the other characters.

Timeline? Where are you?
Also I still have to develop a timeline for the whole story but I don't know how much time the whole action should take.
I figure something about two months would be good, but is it really realistic?

It's time for a little update here.

I made the mistake decided to try and participate in this years NaNoWriMo and it'll be a first time for me.
I already know which idea I want to follow up on but I'm struggling with the most important question which is the language.

One of the main reasons why I tend to stay away from writing lately is because I can never really decide if I want to write in German or English.
What would you suggest? Do you prefer writing in your mother tongue or English? Any pros and cons?

"Three assassins decide to combine their skills to make their life even more exciting and adventurous. Maybe even a bit too much because soon they find themselves facing a rival who will stop at nothing to ruin their reputation and snag potential clients away. Also there is that one butchered assassination attempt that made the FBI open an extensive investigation. To top all of that there is a psychopathic ex-girlfriend on the loose who will stop at nothing to get her loved one back:
Even if it means killing him."

Have some short (and most likely horrible) drabbles I wrote a year ago for throneland but never posted anywhere else.

01. Meet Viserys Greyjoy
no spoilers.
drabble 01Collapse )

02. This Is My Nightmare
Rating: G/PG? (I'm not sure :S)
Warnings: none. apart from highly illogical plot which can be blamed on it being a dream.
Summary: Eddard Stark is still alive and Hand of the King and he has a nightmare about his family getting separated and lost.
drabble 02Collapse )

03. diamonte poems
drabble 03Collapse )

I hope you'll enjoy reading through them!

Found this small dialogue thingy in one of my notebooks today and I was wondering what come to your mind first if you read through it? Any ideas of who is talking, what might have happened before or what could be happening?
Share what you think in the comments, I'd really appreciate it :)

"So how are you feeling today?"
"I don't feel anything at all."

"So has anything happened in your life? Something you'd like to talk about?"
"No. I'm not allowed to follow my work. All I can do is sitting on the couch and do nothing."

"Do you see your family? Or friends?"

"Are you afraid of people?"

"People are afraid of me."

Yes I finally remembered that I've got this writing journal, so here I am
I've picked up my writing again and right now I haven't got a clue about a dialogue that needs to happen.

What do two professional criminals talk about in their spare time?
It's not like I've got any experience it that area (and even if I did I sure as hell wouldn't write about it here, would I?) and so I'm kind of at lost.
One of the persons is a male hacker who seems to be quite lighthearted and flamboyant, while the other is a female assassin who couldn't care less about the hacker. The conversation won't go on for long, just a few sentences with him being the one who does most of the talking, but I don't know what he'll say to her.

Any thoughts or ideas? I would really love to hear them!

I only recently found back to my love of books and I also have bought quite a few new books.
I'm really looking forward to read them, because they all sound really interesting. They are all Fantasy (of course), just because it's still my overall favourite genre :)

my newest acquisitions;
  • The Poison Throne by Celine Kiernan
  • The Crowded Shadows by Celine Kiernan
  • The Drowning City by Amanda Downum
  • Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
  • A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin

The first one I already ready read and I had it through within two days. The book was very easy to read and it also had an interesting story, although I found the characters quite conflicting sometimes. Nevertheless I can't wait to start book two (The Crowded Shadows)!

Before I'll start reading it I'll first finish some of the books I've started quite a while ago but never really got to read them.
The first books I'm going to finish is called Kinder des Judas and it's a vampire story but it's really not anything like those Romance/Twilight-Vampire Stories. It's much darker and more complex and it starts to get really good now that I've found myself into the world.
So for everyone who is capable of German: Read this book! It's really awesome!
